G is for Ghosts

G is for...
Ghosts!
Today was all about ghosts.  First my mom and I went to the library to look for ghost movies that were kind of scary, but they all ended up being rated R or just sounded too scary so we got the movie The Corpse Bride and the book More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz.

We went home and read a couple of ghosts stories from the book.  I am not going to lie they were pretty scary, but my mom didn't think so.

Then we watched the movie The Corpse Bride by Tim Burton.  My mom and I really liked it.  It's rated PG and we always liked Tim Burton's style.

D is for Downtown Day

Did we mention that we are not going in alphabetical order?

D is for...
Downtown Day in Northfield!

Today my mom and I got started right away on our list.  First we had coffee and coconut cake at The Hideaway which is a cute little coffee shop nestled right in the middle of downtown.  There we made our list!

Then we got our umbrellas because it was raining again!  The pictures we took were kind of droopy so we got some nice pretty ones from the handy dandy internet.

We also visited our favorite store called Monarch which is full of  the best smelling merchandise in town.  The thing we did the most was window shopping!  We got too wet and cold so we drove home.

So D is for Downtown... aaahhh how delightful:)

What do you mean Summer ABCs?

With all credit to our friend at Mama in Wonderland, we are doing the ABC's of Summer!
Ours is an older kid/working mom version of their idea.

Today, we sat and made an alphabetical list of all the fun things we want to do this summer.  One of our rules was that ideas had to be low or no cost.

So stay tuned!  We'll post photos and fun facts about our Summer ABC's!
